“When people ask me if I went to film school, I tell them, ‘No, I went to films.’”
- Quentin Tarantino
When I think about this quote, I think about user experience.
To build Web sites is one thing. But to build an idea is much more important. To me, the technical way you build a Web presence is overpowered by the idea that you are doing it right. Are you serving the audience? Are you making site management easy? Are you thinking two steps ahead instead of how to get out of two steps back?
I’m here to help. Most of my posts are geared toward the right way to plan and organize a large Web presence. I use the word presence only because that’s what users experience. Not just your site, but everything on the Web related to you and relevant to them. Remember, it’s all about them.
Constantly on the road, I speak at several higher education conferences, including CASE, ACT, eduWeb, and regional advancement and Web organizations. I sit on the eduWeb Conference Advisory Board and regulary contributes to their blog as a guest author.
